Hildebrand Continuous Kiln – HCK

Large sawmill operations require high-capacity kiln drying, ideally with 24/7 availability year-round. The HCK concept is highly scalable and can be tailored to any desired sawmill production capacity. The continuous kiln is the ideal solution for consistent, even drying at high throughput—perfectly suited for fully automated operations.

The latest generation of continuous kilns

For over 50 years, Hildebrand built the first continuous kilns. At that time, the main goal was to dry large quantities of lumber in a short time. These outdated continuous kilns are in no way comparable to the new HCK continuous kiln generation. The HCK has precisely designed zones that work together like many individual batch kilns, thus enabling maximum flexibility. Thanks to its intermediate heating, state-of-the-art software with an alternating climate process, and the unique Hildebrand Turbo Technology, a drying speed and final moisture distribution are achieved that the old continuous kilns could only dream of. The GreenKilns® system was specially redeveloped and patented again for the continuous kiln. It links all zones and regulates internal and external air exchange via a duct system. This not only optimizes thermal energy consumption, but also eliminates the need for spraying in most cases. The energy efficiency of the HCK is incomparable to any batch kiln, as it combines Hildebrand innovations with the possibilities of a state-of-the-art continuous kiln.
